  • How to Set Up BYU IDs with Printers

The Printers now use BYU ID cards to print. You will need to connect your BYU ID card with your netID and BYU Password before you can print.

1. Tap your ID Card on the card reader.
2. Associate your ID card with your account by entering your NetID & BYU Password.

Upon success, the printer will report that your card has been associated with your account.

How to Print

  • Make sure you have already connected your BYU ID card with the printers and installed the printers in the earlier steps
  • You will print to chem-hp-printers like you would any other printer.  Printing to chem-hp-printers will send your print job to a queue that is shared by all of the printers
  • Go to the printer you wish to print from and tap your BYU ID on the green rectangle that says “SWIPE CARD HERE”
  • Select Print Release on the screen.

  • You will be shown all of your queued jobs, which you can select and print

Troubleshooting

  • If you are trying to install the printers on Windows and you get an error where it takes you to the Microsoft store, go to Settings -> Apps -> Advanced app settings -> Choose where to get apps.  Then make sure it doesn't say "The Microsoft Store only"
